| | worried | ] | Unsent letter written while waiting in the Great Hall of the Royal Academy, in reply to his letter.
Dear Uncle Howard,
Thank you for your very kind offer to take us in. We will probably see you before you get this letter - they are closing the school and sending us all home tomorrow. I do not think anyone really knows what is going to happen tonight, but they have us all in the Great Hall for our safety.
Professor Rosenthal talked about how maths can be used to detect patterns that indicate enemy action. I have been trying to do that while we wait but I do not think this is the right kind of problem. I think what I need is a way to analyse completely chaotic systems.
